Losing Weight Through Juicing
Let me tell you about myself. I am like most Americans, as I went along in my twenties, I stared to gain a few
pounds. Now, I was never obese but I did get to the point where I was unhappy with the way I looked.
I want to tell you about my success story. I want to tell you how I lost weight by juicing. Most of my life I
have eaten poorly. I tried to avoid fast food but I often ate carb-laden meals. I also had a bad yet delicious
habit of drinking beer with (and without) meals. I am German, after all.
Not surprisingly, my bad diet led me to pile on the pounds. I became pretty unsatisfied with myself. It wasn't
just my belly either. My overall health was going in the wrong direction. I started to get some acne. I even
started sweating more. I knew why this was happening and I knew that I needed to do something about it. I waited
way to long to do so, but after over ten years of this, I finally did.
I asked people I knew, that were healthy types, what they recommened I do. One friend of mine, a marathon runner
told me about some books that I could read on the subject. One of these books was about eating raw foods and
juicing. The book inspired me to do something about my weight.
First thing I did was went out and purchased a juicer. It wasn't the best. I actually went through a few of them
until I found the Jack Lalanne Power Juicer. I decided that I would drink one glass of fruit juice and one glass of
veggie juice per day. I would have this instead of lunch with my customary beer. It did wonders.
First thing that happened was that going to the bathroom was no longer a problem. Also, very quickly I started
to become less tired during the day and had more energy. Of course, what made me feel the best was when I weighed
myself two weeks later.
I had lost 11 pounds! It was amazing. The best part was that I wasn't starving myself. The juice satisfied me
completely. I can't recommend this enough. Give it a shot and you will lose weight and feel better.
